Clarke
County Public Schools
Clarke County has a tradition of
achievement in academics, arts and
athletics. Clarke County maintains a
commitment to safety, achievement, and
diversity. It is believed that students
perform better when they feel safe and
secure, therefore Clarke County strives
to discourage bullying and harassment.
The school district also maintains a
zero tolerance policy for weapons.
Additionally, the district encourages
and facilitates a learning environment
that promotes students to value, seek
and achieve academic success.
Clarke County has
three elementary
schools, one middle school, one high school,
and another alternative education
school. The F&B Educational Building
focuses on helping students who have
struggled to catch up and rejoin their
peers in the traditional education
setting. This alternative education
institution is still very much connected
to the middle and high school, with
about 90% of it's enrollment splitting
their classroom time between F&B and
their home school.
Clarke County Public Schools prides
themselves on holding students to a high
standard of achievement. When students
are placed in a classroom where academic
achievement is encouraged and expected,
they are more motivated and perform
better. This philosophy has earned
Clarke County High School the
distinction of being ranked #19 in the
country by Newsweek Magazine.
While choosing a school for your child
is a critical decision, Clarke County
schools assures you that educators,
administration and staff are here to
promote a healthy learning environment
for all children. If you are planning to
