Located at the foothills of the
exquisite Blue Ridge Mountains lies the
Historic Long Branch Estate, one of the most
elegant historic homes in Virginia. The
stately manor was built in 1811. The
beautiful rooms at Historic Long Branch
are adorned with a magnificent
collection of 18 and 19th century
furnishings, and the lavish estate even features
dining room chairs identical to those
used in the White House. Glamorous hand-painted
wallpapers and fine fabrics accentuate
the extravagant interior. The historic
home also features beautiful gardens and
a horse retirement facility that boasts
70 residing horses.

spectacular site at Historic Long
Branch is the beautiful Sheila Macqueen
Gardens. The gardens are dedicated to
Sheila Macqueen, a British floral
arranger. The gardens are adorned with a
variety of plant species including:
herbs, hellebores, hostas, roses,
perennials and other beloved plant
species from her own English garden. The
gardens are maintained by the Shelia
Macqueen Flower Ladies.
Historic Long Branch offers lush
pastures on the estate for field
boarding your horse at the Long Branch
Stables. The Equine is still in working
condition on the 400-acre farm. More
than 14 miles of four-board fencing
lines the estate and streams offering a
one-of-a-kind facility in the Northern
Shenandoah Valley. The facility also
features automatic watering systems,
run-in sheds, and quality hay.
Historic Long Branch is open daily from
9am to 5 pm. Additionally, guided tours
are available Wednesday through Sunday
during the afternoons. A small admission
fee is charged for guests of the home.

about special events and weddings at the
Historic Long Branch Estate.
