Stephens
City Virginia
Stephens City Virginia is a quaint, historic town south of Winchester with more than 250 years of history. Here you’ll enjoy not only the lush mountain scenery afforded by our area, but a small-town hospitality that is becoming more uncommon as time goes by.
The town was established in 1758, and is the second oldest town in the Shenandoah Valley. Stephens City’s cultural heritage and history is celebrated annually with a festival in the spring, the Newtown Heritage Festival. The Festival is generally held on Memorial Day Weekend each year, and focuses on celebrating the rich history of Stephens City. Each year, visitors to the Festival enjoy a mile long parade, fireworks, live music, arts and crafts shows, and special museum exhibits.
