Tubing at Ski Cove
Ski Cove is located just 12 miles west
of Winchester VA in Gore. Ski Cove has
offered family snow tubing on runs more
than 900 feet long for nearly ten years.
The vertical elevation of the tubing
runs reaches 135 feet, creating a
screaming good time during the cold
winter months. For the convenience of
guests, towropes will carry you to the
top again and again. If you need a quick
warm up, feel free to stop by the
warming building located at the stop of
the tubing runs.
Ski Cove opens shortly before the New
Year each winter once the temperatures
cooperate, and man-made snow blankets
the slope. Ski Cove is open on weekends,
pending conditions of the hill. Be sure
to bundle up when planning a tubing trip
at Ski Cove. It is suggested to wear
warm clothing, and don’t be afraid to
layer it on!
A standard fee, regardless of customers’
age, is charged to obtain a ticket to
access the snow tubing runs. Children
under the age of three, or 38 inches
tall are not permitted on the snow
tubing runs for your safety. Ski Cove
only accepts cash or check, but an ATM
is available nearby at the bank in Gore.
All riders must wear and display their
ticket for the entire session. The
duration of a session is two hours long,
and several are offered on weekend days.
Grab your snow boots, and we’ll see you
there!
