Royals Baseball
Take me out to the ball game! Baseball
enthusiasts are encouraged to bring
their family along for a day on the ball
field. The Winchester Royals are a
summer collegiate wooden bat baseball
team, and members
of the Valley Baseball League. The
Valley Baseball League has played a
forty-four game schedule each summer for
more than forty-five years, however, the league has only
marked its sixteenth season as a wooden
bat league.
 The Valley Baseball League is a part of
the National Alliance of College Summer
Baseball, an organization of the summer
collegiate baseball leagues. The Valley
Baseball League is in part sponsored by
donations from Major League Baseball,
and is endorsed by the National
Collegiate Athletic Association.
The Valley Baseball League represents
more than Americas favorite game. During the
summer months community members come
together to house the players, provide
summer job opportunities, and by
financially supporting the team by
regularly attending the games. The
community of Winchester hopes to see you
at the ball park cheering on the
Winchester Royals.
